 By popular request here are the plans for the Play Loft.  Sorry it has been such a long time coming. 

Play Loft Plans

 I finally managed to build the girls the play house I had been planning.  All it needs is some paint and carpet for the upstairs area and it is all finished.  Maybe now we can manage to unpack the play room. 

 Here’s our big girl on her first day of Kindergarten.  It’s hard to believe how fast she is growing up.  So far she really loves it, we’ll see how long that lasts. 

I am simply horrified by this disgraceful act of vandalism. On Memorial Day, somebody (or likely a group of people) vandalized one of our local cemeteries. They went around and toppled 46 head stones; which is most of the larger stones - many of which are very old and dating to the late 1800s and early 1900s. I have a feeling it is likely to have been done by a group of high school kids and maybe I’m just starting to show my age, but even in my youth I would have know how terribly wrong it is to do something like this…

 This is the kind of week we’ve had… Gwen finally got over the flu and I got sick.  In the mean time our dead animal smell has gotten progressively worse to the point that I cut open the floor in our walk in closet area in an attempt to find it.  Much to my surprise, instead of finding the animal I found waste water!  A week later we have had the bathroom, closet and kitchen floors torn up so that a broken kitchen drain line could be replaced.  On the bright side at least it was not the sewer line as we originally thought.  Oh and for extra fun; once I felt better, Becca then Missy both got sick… I did  mention that it has been a fun week right?
